| What is your main interest in computers? | I've been doing computer repair since 2005. I have a full time job as an electronic technician, and a part time computer repair business. I have an associate degree in Electronic Engineering, and a Masters degree in Industrial Engineering. I am also CompTIA A+ certified. My hobbies are building websites, and some vintage computing. I live in Rhode Island, US. |

Nov 5 '18This is the computer I recover data from drives. I can hookup anything from an IDE Desktop or Laptop drive, to a Pcie 3X4 SSD. Administrator commented on RobRUbyVolt's photoI got this card to use on my old ASUS P6T Deluxe V2. It has a Xeon 3690 6 core with 24GB RAM. It is TEN years old. It works fine with a SATA m.2 which of course runs at only SATA 2. I put on a new nvme card in the bottom slot. It formatted and cloned. But the mobo is too old to boot from PCIe. SAD DAY.

Nov 3 '18I'm guessing that if the motherboard doesn't have an PCIe m.2 slot on it, it won't boot. I have one of those adapter cards also, but the drive doesn't show in the bios, just in My Computer.
Nov 3 '18I have an ASUS Z97-A with a PCIe m.2 slot and it would not see the stick. i put it in a card and into an x16 slot and it works great. Check this out.
